The rules everyone on EkSawariAur agrees to. Last updated 17 October 2026.

What EkSawariAur is

A place where somebody already driving between two cities can offer their spare seats, and somebody going the same way can take one. We are not a taxi company and we do not employ drivers. The journey is between the driver and the passenger; we provide the platform, hold the wallet, and settle the money.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over and give real details. A driver must have a valid licence, a roadworthy vehicle and the insurance the law requires, and must pass our document check before listing a car.

What a ride costs

The driver sets the fare per seat. On top of it:

• The passenger pays a 2% platform fee.
• The driver is charged 8% of the fare.
• The platform therefore keeps 10% of the fare in total.

The full amount is shown before you confirm a booking. Where an agent arranged the seat, they receive 4% of the fare — taken out of the platform's share, not added to it. A passenger booking through an agent pays exactly what they would pay booking directly, and the driver receives exactly the same.

Agents

An Agent is a user whom EkSawariAur has approved to make bookings on behalf of people who do not use the app. The following terms apply to any user who applies for or holds that status.

1. Status. Approval is a revocable permission to use a feature of the platform. It does not create a contract of employment, a partnership, a joint venture, or an agency at law between the Agent and EkSawariAur. An Agent has no authority to make any representation, give any warranty, or incur any obligation on behalf of EkSawariAur, and must not hold themselves out as doing so.
2. Eligibility. Approval requires a completed profile and verified identity documents, and is granted at the discretion of EkSawariAur. An administrator account may not hold Agent status.
3. The traveller's details. An Agent must provide the name and a working telephone number of the person who will travel. The Agent warrants that they have that person's permission to provide those details and to arrange the journey on their behalf, and that the details are accurate. The details are disclosed to the driver of the booked vehicle for the purpose of that journey and to nobody else.
4. Payment. A booking made on behalf of another person is paid either in cash, in which case the traveller pays the fare and the passenger fee to the driver at the pickup and the Agent pays nothing, or from the Agent wallet, in which case the same amount is charged to that wallet. The Agent wallet may not go into deficit: where it does not hold the amount, the booking must be paid in cash. Whatever the Agent and the traveller settle between themselves is a matter between them, and EkSawariAur is not a party to it.
5. Topping up. An Agent may add funds to the Agent wallet by the same method as any other user, subject to approval by an administrator.
6. Responsibility for the booking. The Agent is the passenger of record: the booking counts against the Agent's record, and any Cancellation Charge arising under the clause above is payable by, or to, the Agent. The traveller has no account with EkSawariAur and owes it nothing beyond the fare handed to the driver.
7. Bookings for oneself. The Agent facility is for arranging travel for another person. A booking in which the Agent is the traveller is not an Agent booking, earns no commission, and may be reversed.
8. Commission. An Agent is paid 4% of the fare on each ride that is completed and settled. It is paid out of the share EkSawariAur retains and is not added to the fare: a passenger booking through an Agent pays what they would pay booking directly, and the driver receives what they would receive. No commission arises on a booking that is cancelled, rejected, or expires.
9. Payment of commission. Commission is credited to the Agent wallet on settlement and may be withdrawn subject to the minimum, the per-request limit, and the limit for any rolling period published in the app. EkSawariAur may withhold a payout while a dispute concerning the Agent is open.
10. Suspension and withdrawal of approval. EkSawariAur may suspend or withdraw Agent status at any time, with or without notice, including where it reasonably suspects misuse of the facility. A suspended Agent may make no further bookings on behalf of others; commission already earned remains payable, and suspension does not extinguish any amount the Agent owes.
11. Conduct. An Agent must not misrepresent a booking, submit details of a person who has not agreed to travel, hold seats without a genuine passenger, or use the facility to obtain a benefit for themselves. Any of these is grounds for withdrawal of approval and, where money has been obtained, recovery of it.

Booking and cancelling

An unanswered booking request lapses automatically 20 minutes after it is made. Cancellation is without charge at any time before the driver accepts, and for a grace period of 5 minutes following acceptance.

Cancellation Charge

The following terms apply to a cancellation occurring after the grace period has expired. In this clause, Cancelling Party means the user who cancels, and Affected Party means the other party to the booking.

1. Liability. The Cancelling Party shall be liable for a Cancellation Charge equal to 2% of the fare for the affected booking. This applies equally to a passenger and to a driver; the obligation is reciprocal and does not depend on which party cancels.
2. Basis of the charge. The parties acknowledge that a late cancellation causes the Affected Party loss which is real but difficult to quantify — a seat that can no longer be sold, or a journey that must be arranged again at short notice. The Cancellation Charge is agreed by the parties to be a genuine pre-estimate of that loss and compensation for it. It is not a penalty and is not intended to operate as one.
3. Apportionment. One half of the Cancellation Charge is payable to the Affected Party by way of compensation. The remaining half is retained by EkSawariAur as an administrative charge for processing the cancellation, notifying the Affected Party, releasing the seat and adjusting the affected accounts. Where the sum cannot be divided into two equal amounts in whole currency units, the remainder is retained by EkSawariAur.
4. Failure to commence a trip. Where a driver does not begin a trip within the applicable grace period, the trip is cancelled automatically. Passengers who paid by wallet are refunded in full. The driver shall be liable for a Cancellation Charge of 2% of the total fare of the confirmed bookings, of which one half is apportioned among those passengers in proportion to their respective fares, and one half is retained by EkSawariAur.
5. Authority to debit. You authorise EkSawariAur to debit any sum payable under this clause from your wallet at the time the cancellation is recorded. You acknowledge that this may result in a negative balance.
6. Debt and set-off. A negative wallet balance constitutes a debt due and payable to EkSawariAur immediately. EkSawariAur may set that debt off against any sum subsequently credited to your wallet, including fares, commission and compensation, without further notice.
7. Suspension. While a negative balance remains outstanding, EkSawariAur may decline further bookings or listings on the account until the balance is cleared. Suspension of service does not extinguish the debt.
8. Repeated cancellation. Repeated cancellation may result in a warning followed by a temporary restriction on the account, applied at the discretion of EkSawariAur and independently of any Cancellation Charge.
9. Disputes. A Cancellation Charge may be disputed through the in-app dispute process. EkSawariAur may reverse a charge in whole or in part where it is satisfied that the cancellation arose from circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Cancelling Party.

The wallet

Top-ups are made by transferring to the account shown in the app and uploading the receipt; an admin confirms it. A wallet may hold a negative balance so that a ride which has already taken place, or a cancellation which has already occurred, can always be recorded and settled. New bookings are declined below Rs 500 for a passenger and Rs 5,000 for a driver. A negative balance is a debt due and payable, and is subject to set-off in accordance with the Cancellation Charge clause above.

Withdrawals are paid to the account you give, after an admin processes them. We may hold a payout while a dispute on the same account is open.

Conduct

Do not use the platform to arrange anything unlawful, do not carry goods you have not told the driver about, and do not abuse or endanger anyone. Accounts that do are closed, and a closed account does not forfeit money already earned — but it stops earning more.

Safety, honestly stated

We verify identity documents and we record ratings. We do not inspect vehicles, we are not present on the journey, and we cannot guarantee anyone's conduct. Travel with the same judgement you would use sharing a car with anyone else. The SOS button in the app alerts our team, but in an emergency call Rescue 1122 or the police first.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, EkSawariAur is not liable for what happens during a journey arranged through it, including accidents, delay, loss or injury. Our responsibility is the platform and the money that passes through it.

Changes

Fees and limits are set in the admin panel and can change. A change applies to bookings made after it, never to one already confirmed. Material changes are announced in the app.
