Privacy Policy
What EkSawariAur stores, why, and what we never do with it. Last updated 27 August 2026.
What we collect
Only what a booking needs. There is no advertising on this platform, so there is nothing to profile you for.
- Your account — name, email address, phone number, and the city you gave. The phone number is shown to the driver or passenger you are actually travelling with, and to nobody else.
- Identity documents — drivers and agents upload their CNIC and, for drivers, a licence. An admin looks at them to approve the account. They are never shown to other users.
- Your rides — the routes you booked or drove, the fares, and the ratings left afterwards.
- Money — wallet balance and a line for every movement in or out. If you upload a payment screenshot for a top-up, an admin sees it to confirm the transfer arrived.
- Messages — chat between a driver and passenger on a booking, kept so a dispute can be settled.
What we do not collect
- No card or bank details. Top-ups are a manual transfer to an account shown in the app; we never see your card.
- No background location. The app does not track where you are between rides.
- No advertising trackers. No third-party pixels, no data brokers.
Who can see what
A driver sees the name and phone number of a passenger who has booked with them, and nothing else about them. A passenger sees the driver's name, rating, vehicle and phone number. Where an agent booked the seat, the driver is shown the traveller's name and number, because that is who they are picking up.
Administrators can see accounts, bookings, wallet history and uploaded documents. That access exists to approve drivers, settle disputes and process payouts, and every administrator action is written to an audit log with the account that took it.
Where it is stored
On our own server, in one database. Passwords and PINs are stored as bcrypt hashes and cannot be read back — not by us either. Sessions use a signed token that expires.
Two outside services receive data: an email provider, which is sent the address a notification goes to, and a realtime provider, which carries the fact that a booking changed. Neither is sent your documents or your wallet history.
How long we keep it
Your account and its ride history stay while the account exists. Financial records are kept longer, because a wallet ledger has to reconcile — a transaction cannot be deleted without the books ceasing to balance.
Your choices
- See or correct your details — from your profile. Name and CNIC are locked once verified; to change those, send a change request from the app and an admin reviews it.
- Delete your account — contact support from the app. Any pending booking or payout has to be settled first.
- Turn off notifications — email and in-app notifications can be silenced without closing the account.
Children
EkSawariAur is not for anyone under 18. An account found to belong to a minor is closed.
